New Ambassador presents his Letters of Credence to the King of the Netherlands

The new Ambassador of Mongolia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Mr. Od Och, has presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty the King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands.

 
The ceremony took place on May 19, 2017 at the Noordeinde Palace in the Hague. His Majesty welcomed Ambassador Och and expressed a pleasure to receive the new Ambassador of Mongolia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Ambassador Och thanked His Majesty for the audience and conveyed the greetings and good wishes of the President of Mongolia, H.E. Mr. Tsakhia Elbegdorj to the King Willem-Alexander.
 
During the private audience following the credential ceremony, Ambassador Och stressed Mongolia’s commitment to intensify all-round bilateral cooperation with the Kingdom of the Netherlands, particularly in the fields of agriculture, water management and renewable energy.
 
The King Willem-Alexander expressed his confidence that Ambassador Och will rejuvenate and strengthen the existing close relations between the two countries.
 
Ambassador Och assured the King Willem-Alexander of his commitment to work closely with the Dutch Government to foster further collaboration and strengthen relations between the two countries.

The same day, Mr. Od Och met with Chief Executive Officer of FMO, the Dutch Development Bank, Mr.  Jьrgen Rigterink to discuss bilateral relations and cooperation. 
 
The FMO has made a considerable contribution to boost the activities of Mongolia’s bank and financial institutions and increase their capital source. Moreover, the FMO has invested in Mongolia’s renewable energy sector; in particular, they were present in the establishment of a first wind farm in Mongolia.   
 
In further, the Dutch Development Bank is ready to collaborate in renewable energy and agricultural sectors of Mongolia in order to reduce air pollution, improve heating system of ger districts and ensure food security. As well, the FMO will support Dutch companies interested in investing in Mongolia.
