At Home with Art

The Feast of Flora by Georg Platzer is among the paintings displayed at Basildon Park, an 18th-Century country house surrounded by parkland. There are around 70 exhibits from the collection of art historian Sir Brinsley Ford, who over the years added to the collection he had inherited. Sculpture, decorative arts, Old Masters and works from the 20th Century are all on show in the South Pavilion.
